Indian Dancers...
What a beautiful day it was...It felt as though we went to India for the day...
The whole theme was Indian Carnival...there were magicians, dancers, singers, acrobats, musicians all brought in from Rajasthan...It was a day bursting of colours, spices, and perfumes...The private village of Hermès in the Hippodrome was covered with shamianas (Indian tents) to picnic under...Hats and Capelins were not obligatory...but no one forgot that elegance is a must in the Hermès Village...the day started of at 11am with the Indian carnival followed by lunch at 12 noon ,We brought our own picnic, of course, how could I resist detailing that one…and at 2pm the races started…followed by a Polo game Polo d’Apremont the association of Open de France…

Help find Madelaine McCann...

PLEASE...They need your help...
I got this e-mail this morning...and this story has broken my heart...It's the little girl that got stolen in Portugal about 15 days ago now..
Please read this message and pass it on!!!!!!!!!!!!!
As you are aware my niece is still missing and I am asking everyone I know to send this as a chain letter i.e. you send it to everyone you know and ask them to do the same, as the story is only being covered in Britain, Eire and Portugal. We don't believe that she is in Portugal anymore and need to get her picture and the story across Europe as quickly as possible. Suggestions are? welcome.

The Folks in Paris...

May 2007
Mom and Dad arrived to Paris the day Sarkozy became officially President of France....May 16th 2007...
We found our selves in the middle of the whole parade...and once in it hoping we would get a glimpse of our new president...but no such luck...we got a better look once at home in front of the TV....
Took them to visit...the Musée du Quai Branly, It's a beautiful Museum.
It was Jack Shirac's idea to create this museum, do to his love for ''Art Premier'' art of all the people...It is really a beautiful place...They had a Special expo on African Art...quite interesting...the kids loved it...
We ate at the ''the Terrace'' the panoramic restaurant on the last floor, created by designer Jean Nouvel...
Well all I can say it's the chairs were outstanding the rest I won't comment...I do not recommend the food the restaurant was a total rip off and it is not at all adapted for children....any way live and learn... We had a great day...and a couple of laughs...
We took the Folks to Bercy Village an area they have done near Bercy were they closed off all the roads and have created an outside Village with stores and lots of different restaurants quite nice and fun...My son brought along his skate board and then we headed to Trocadero were the Eiffel tower is to go skate around...
It's been a fun couple of days...

Post-It

Last night I took my daughter to see a Play, just me and her...It was great fun, I used to do that a great deal with my mom when I was her age, we had a great time...The play was called Post-it, and it was about 3 girls in their 30's sharing an apartment, and all the things that happen around that age...Girl stuff...

A new President...

Sarkozy is the next president of France. He won the first round and the second round with good margins. French voters have given him a clear mandate to rule and deliver on his promises, but to do that he still needs to jump a few more hurdles…we will see what happens in June during the parliamentary election....
The commune that Bazainville depends of, Houdan voted Sarkozy 64.3%

Is it Halloween in March... No...It's the school's Carnaval...

Today, my children had their annual end of the year carnival...
Witches, cow boys, indians, cave men, africans, medieval characters, etc... paraded threw-out all of Bazainville...
Happy kids with hugs smiles, it was like halloween at the end of March....a burst of color on a saturday morning...
My daughter's class has been working on a big project concerning AFRICA....learning the history, culture, even corresponding with students from a school there...it has been a great adventure for the kids...they ended the big project with a play that they have been working on....a famous African story teller came to the school to read the kids several African fairy tales (comptes des fees ), the kids then mimed the stories read out-loud by their french teacher...
It was quite funny and very creative...my daughter was dressed as an African Princess...
My son a bit more on the wild side decided to be a pre-historic man....a cave man... how sexy....
It has been a fun morning wishing you all a happy weekend...
