Trip to Lourdes...

Tomorrow I'm of on an annual pilgrimage to help the disabled get to the grout and hopefully give them some hope...I'll post again on Sunday...

Sense and Sensibility....

Sam and I resently went to visit the ''Abbaye des Vaux de Cerney''...It's an amazing place,We took quite a great deal of pictures there so I guess you'll be visiting it with us...here is an employee taking a little break and feeding the many duck that visit...

A long awaited rainy day...I must say weather has been great, but we did need some rain the grass was starting to look like hay...I took this picture in Paris it's the window display of Louis Vuitton...could use a little color today....

La Piñata.....

Yesterday we celebrated my daughters 10th BDay with a Piñata...As I lived for many years in Mexico as a young girl this became a big custom, a Piñata is a object( it can be anything from an animal shape to anything else)done in clay and paper mache and filled with candy and surprises.One is banded up and given a bat, 3 spins and off they go to hit the Piñata...Sorry for no post yesterday but we've got family visiting and with all the events and all my day just flew by...

Friday fish day....

Normaly on Friday's in France is the day you eat fish...Tradition has changed a great deal but in schools normaly they serve fish in the cafeteria...
Of course you don't eat gold fishies, but I had this picture and I wasn't sure what to post on it...and my friend just informed me of this tradition....
When I look at it it just make me want to go for a swim....

Yesterday at Tennis practice, coach made the kids warm up with a little soccer match (mousse ball of course)...who said there was no soccer spirit in the French!!!go! go! go!

Le Vieux Logis....

Last night we were invited to ''Le Vieux Logis''...
A big property in Bazainville who was owned by one couple years ago and who wanted to turn this property into a Hotel, a bed and breakfast sort...and unfortunatly the project never came to be, instead they divided the property into 4 living homes and sold them...
The families in ''Le Vieux Logis'' organised a lovely get together for everyone in the village...
It was quite fun, and reminded all of us that we do live in a lovely little town....

A friend brought me a bag full of Nisperos (Medlar) from Portugal...
It´s a very interesting fruit...very watery and very sweet and sour...it`s quite yummy...

A Fencing Match...

Polo Club...

We were invited to a Polo match in Paris...It was great fun and what an amazing day we had....hot!hot!hot!

Pizza night...

Every Wednesday there is this Pizza truck that parks on the ''Place''of the firemen
It's great because sometimes it gives me a break from the kitchen, and they are really good.It has been such a succes that on Fridays there is another Pizza truck...
and they both have real stone ovens...yummm!
