Here is a picture of my kids sculpture class, well a little corner in the room that had a nice composit....the things hanging are the remainings of candels that we sometimes tend to throw away, instead they were creative and turned them into somekind of Art....

Heading home...

Finally heading home from Piano Lessons! Wednesdays I'm '' The Chauffeur'' the kids have activities all day long...
Here in my town, like most of the small towns in France (some are changing) the kids have school, Monday, Tuesday,
Thursday, Friday and every two Saturday mornings...Therefore Wednesday is dedicated to sports or activities...
Very much diffrent than my days in school in the US, were sports and activities are intergrated in the School...I guess the French always have to do things diffrently...A great way to get them ready for ''The real World''!...
This Chauffeur is ready to hang up her hat for today!...

My daughters friend, said they have special feet so they don't get electrocuted!

''Platane'' Trees

Finally a beautiful day!!!
My picture today is of ''Platane'' Trees as they are called, they are all over here in Europe...
I read that they live to be 500 to 2000 years...Incredible...they can also withhold polution pretty good! Thats why we see so many of them in the cities... Soon they will all start blooming, nice big leaves...Its funny how in the winter they cut them down, they look like ends of naked bones, oh I can't wait to see some clothes on them...

Château de Bazainville...

Well , guess what it snowed this morning!
I couldn't believe it eather, it didn't last long and to think yesterday was the first day of Spring!!! Well here is ''The Château de Bazainville'', this is the closest thing we have to a Château in Bazainville...It's very lovely, and sitting on a large piece of farm land.
I believe now it's been rented out to two or more families.
I've often thought how great it would be to live in it, and re-decorate it all...

My new bench and a year older!!!

Well this morning after gym class I headed to my friends thrift shop to see if she had sold some of my stuff, she did, she sold almost all the stuff I dropped off ( clothes, bags, shoes, etc...) and I got some good cash...so I desided to treat myself. I had been eyeing this bench since last week! And guess what I bought it! It's an antique cream bench from provance, I fell in love with it and Luckly it was still around...so Happy Birthday to myself! at least being a year older wasn't so painful today!

La foire à tout de Bazainville

Today was the ''Foire a tout de Bazainville'' the annual Tag sale...It's the first Foire (fair) of the year in the Yvelines, and once again I missed the inscriptions, the sign up was begining of Feb...I was a bit upset because I had already gone threw all the stuff I wanted to sell and I had it all ready in the attic...Well next time for sure I won't, I wrote it in huge letters on my calendar for next year.I headed out early with the kids this morning, said hello to almost the whole town and took some pictures (some great ones) then I came home and I don't know what button I pressed and I lost them all. I went out again latter on but the light was not the same...Well here is one of a lady who was selling some really original hats, it reminded me of Venise (Italy), she had them on some sexy stautues...Wish you all a Happy Sunday!

Bistrot des Quatzarts

A great restaurant located in the middle of all these antique dealers ''Bois L'Epicier'' in Maulette near Houdan. The food is delicious, the ambiance is very artistic, wine, cigarettes burning, and interesting people...In the summer they put a terrace out side and you feel like you are in the south of France with all the antique dealers around...

The Church of Bazainville...

A cold quite day in Bazainville...Here is the Church of Bazainville. Churches in small villages in France are not always open and mostly alternate Sundays with other villages near by. Our church is open one sunday a month. They do this because there are not enough priests to go around and they lock them up of fear of theaft...
Have a great day!!!
